Same with comics. I didn't particularly like the direction Che Grayson gave Shiva in her Urban Legends story, but I acknowledge that it's A direction instead of just using her as a punching bag.

Here's a selection of Froud's books. His style is more in-line with what the final product for Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal, so I assume he and Godbey were both significant contributors to the art direction.
