I think the one big thing I'm a bit disappointed in is why it's just male belfs and female humans for their mortal forms.

Seems weird to make what are relatively minor customization options that are mainly face-based for two models only, not even both humans or both elves.

I was thinking about options, too, but I'm afraid that most players never go to the preference menu, so I need to find a good compromise at the start.
I've now changed it to a very transparent background box. I think that somehow works even for a busy background like here.
