Closest he got to that which I can recall was in issue 236 after the Freedom Fighters fell apart with Sally roboticized, Bunnie losing her cybernetics, and Antoine in a coma after Metal Sonic went kamikaze. Tails and Amy snapped him out of it pretty quickly though.
