In order to check for empty spots for one layer, its best to use a color like Green. You can fill in that area with the desired color to avoid inconsistency.

@vruz @CoffeeVectors A cel layered approach would offer some consistency (up), but I prefer a more loosely style like from Bill Plympton or Michael Dudok de Wit.

@HentaiSandwich I do 500x500px at 90 res (resize later), use CSP.
I definitely struggle doing the same character over and over and need to take longer breaks than usual.
Consistency isn't my middle name but I try my best.
