Ferrofuzz cover themselves in a metallic (and toxic) slurry to bolster defences in the wild. After time, the fluid is slowly absorbed into the Pokémon and changes their molecular structure

In that case I recommend "Bastard!! Heavy Metal Dark Fantasy". It's a fantasy series where most of the characters, kingdom and magic are Heavy Metal refences. The anime is on Netflix right now. Sadly the manga is not being reprinted, yet.
