After the incredible response to FLICKER, I’m going to write a full length novel.
I’m gonna need @slimyswampghost to do my illustrations again because there isn’t anyone else who can lift the images from my mind better! Publishers beware!

Looking back, yeah. I did start drawing like this again at 28 🥲
This was February 2020, my 1st 'painterly style' after years of working with local publishers who never wanted this type of artwork.

Now that Oshi no Ko's getting an English release, I would like to take a brief moment to remind all the publishers out there that Aka Akasaka's greatest work is still woefully unlicensed.
I wanna work on this series so bad, y'all.

The Frane trio, + one-off Vampire Hurts, represents EXE-CREATES' peak era of Windows-based nostalgic goodness, prior to becoming a JRPG mill for Kemco and other mobile game (mobage) publishers. Low budget this may be, but it's got more fun, polish, & design smarts than it seems.
Finished a graphic novel earlier this year and currently going thru th’slog of sending it out to publishers. I think it’s a good book but hard to find a home. A few nibbles, no bites. My backup, as always, is to self-publish. Putting art out into the world is often tough.
@DaveScheidt Hey Dave! Lucas, the Lettering Bear here 🏳️🌈🐼 I enjoy working on indie passion projects as much as for top publishers', and always love creating custom-tailored styles for each project I tackle.

Here's some fun throwback stuff for this week though! 10 years ago, we were still shopping Western Deep around to publishers.
At New York Comic Con, we gave out some custom-printed preview books with the first batch of Prologue and Chapter 1 pages! Here's some WIP from it.
