I think it was the shading style I used at the time, along with the bleak colours. 'She is Fierce' looks like a white girl with a fake tan...

Aaaand it's finished. Took me forever to settle on a background I liked. I hate doing backgrounds, but I also like challenges.
A bittersweet thing that I'm living with is people tend to commission OC more than the official ones because out there, more top tier artists can do better than I do in the fandom. But, I admit that I did some breakthrough with those commissions and overcoming challenges.
