@Alex_ADEdge For drawing the cut part, just ignore the raymarching anywhere where the first ray distance < 0, since that means it's already inside the surface.
For clipping the result to a sphere, just get the distance of the final ray position to the origin and mask out anything > sp. radius

here are my FLATS. its just CLIPPING MASKS per FLAT COLOUR on a BASE. this is so it's NONE-DESTRUCTIVE and i can ADJUST THE COLOURS easily. I CHANGED the collar to straps so because it was SUDDEN CIRCLE that didn't FIT with the rest of her FIT. i also added MORE FLUFF.
I had a weird clipping bug (?) in my 3474th Bloodborne Run and made my OC accidently the most fashionable dork in entire Yharnam. So I drew both versions bc I like both. And as good ol' Bloodborne tradition he can carry his own eyes in a lovely glass jar. :3
@CrimScorchex I made my own Tibby Shiba and... it was a lot of work. The hoodie isn't clipping right, either.
I do have a Tibby Otter though, complete with collar. xD
use a base colour for the eyes, create 3 clipping masks, you set the bottom one to linear dodge, the top one to multiply, and the last one to normal, and then you Gaussian blur so that they blend together, and then you draw a light point, duplicate it, and then blur one of them.

You know gotta give Dale props. If I saw my hair clippings turn into a bird, fly into a vent, and then get eaten by the cat that's living in said vent I don't think I would've handled it as well as him.
