This is one of my favourite little paintings by Rembrandt. Jeremiah (1630) is lamenting the destruction of Jerusalem. The feeling of sadness & loss is palpable. The miller’s son really understood & translated emotion. Viewed in the museum, the sadness is devastating.

Kira Kira and Swan Song are among my favorite visual novels despite their lackluster translations.
Setoguchi's best asset to me as a writer is his intimacy when describing emotion.
I also love how realistic/thematic his stories feel.
Hopefully this lives up to his past works.
I'm trying to get better at drawing in chibi style and conveying a much larger range of emotion. I've drawn four so far but this is my favorite!

Was kind if debating whether to post this old piece or not, on one hand it was done during one of my most vulnerable depressive moments on a whim, on the other this piece kind of exhibits elements ive been chasing for my own work outside spurs of spontaneity and emotion.

Okay I ran a thumbnail through the wombo thing and found a really interesting art hack.
Beginning sketch is pretty basic - not very expressive, just trying to capture his features and refine shading. A little attitude but not much life or emotion.
