i dont know 😭 i have been doing the first layer in pink because it blends nicely with my markers, but if i only use pink it muddies and loses contrast so i do a less intense second layer of black afterwards so it stays crisp 😭 im just crazy!! heres an example of the two layers

Copic or Alcohol markers?

I prefer copic beacause it has a brush tip and it’s easier to get into the small corners and it’s easier to blend out. When I was using the alcohol markers, the colors didn’t really match or blend well.

Realized I never posted the final here! This is my version of a haetae, a Korean mythological beast that protects against fire and destruction. Done in 5-6 hours with Copic multiliner, Sketch markers, and Prismacolor colored pencils.

I’m obsessed with BSD and Ranpo’s eyes, so I wanted to draw them... and then I just wanted to draw him... and so, here I am, like 5 hours later. lol

Done by hand with pen and copic markers, watermark added digitally cause I signed it after I took the picture. Derp.
