You know those wooden blocks? Like the flat, rectangle ones? I think that's what my mind found to do. Those things were nice to build with. ...Those they look like the ones that you mean for houses I prefer the one that where just blocks.

A puzzle you can make with your kids during Easter. Enjoy! Reproduce and cut out the 4-piece puzzle. Then, rearrange the 4 pieces to form a rectangle again, in order to make an extra egg appear and the hole disappear. You cannot overlap the puzzle pieces.

Start with just some grass under character's feet, and then maybe add a little colour for the sky?

When you feel comfortable with doing these tiny hints of bg, try pushing it a bit bigger: maybe a small rectangle with clouds and sun?

As someone who mostly draws ladies I GET YOU. It's all about basic shapes--squares and rectangles as opposed to soft, curvy lines. Men are more angular, so if you imagine feminine features with more of a sharp edge that should help a bit! Practicing this continually helps too. 💖
