Every time I look at Elderoose I'm just like "man, I wish you were real." lol

You may not have noticed, but Elderoose is inspired by a cargo truck. That's why it has rocks and bushes on its back, and its antlers are meant to resemble a steering wheel.

Raz gets a self driving vehicle and Oleander, who is riding his jeep, freaks out. He sees a truck. He tries to steer away and accidentally goes into the junkyard. It destroys him and the jeep making him puff up again. Poor oly :( Based on Spongebob Season 11 Episode Drive Happy.

Claremont steers away from this a bit by using Storm as his vantage point character (with all the agency she possesses), rather than a hypermasculine figure such as Conan, but the visual trappings of the S&S sexual fantasy are still very much in play throughout the issues. 7/8
