Digital art tip - if you're struggling to make your colour palette cohesive, use overlay layers with low opacities! This helps to blend your colours into a palette that is more pleasing to the eye :) for warmer tones, use warm colours in the overlay, and vice versa!

Up until now the comics had been relatively tame in terms of violence so this was a big tipping of the hat (and only the tip of the iceberg), the show exists in a space where the comic was already infamous for its gore so it had to go even further with this sequence...it worked
