Pixel art piece I did from a doodle did yesterday. It was fun giving this a try again! Experimented with layers a bit to give it that night vibe while keeping the colors flat outside of the sky gradient.

By the end of day 1 I had the rough colours and lines down for the piece
2: Character detail and colours
3: Gave the cockatrice a bit more ferocity and anatomical tension, brickwork detail
4: More detail overall, added a lot of depth by working in a sky gradient and adding clouds
