Update- this time for a color scheme. Going to color-corre t the image to me more slanted to the blue-gray side to avoid the yellow tinge slanting the appearance of some of the colors.

@mausuya I do different techniques for different eye styles but this one is probably the most sparkly. I used a lot of screened layers and glow dodge on the bottom. The trick is to create high contrast between colors.

As hinted in the previous post, I'm currently at Dragon Con 2021, and finished this sketch late last night! Here's Rekira in a floating pose, with watercolor-style colors.

I see octopuses quite often when I go snorkeling, but usually >3m deep, v narrow bandwith of sunlight can reach, removing all color. The other day I saw one on a rock just few cm from surface, full spectrum of light. It flashed at me the most intense colors. Blew my mind 💜💙💛🧡

I was trying to outline a scene and so I collected all the colors. It blew my mind when I laid the skin down first that as dark as the color appeared against a white background... It was still white skin just in shadows. 😨 Screw color theory. 🥴
