BotB initially started as a re-imagining of my late teens and early 20s as if it were an anime. Yes, Shen started off as a self insert. Many characters in BotB are inspired by 1 or more people from my actual life.

Even as I fleshed things out, I kept the mid-late 2000s setting

Today's MS of the Day is the RGC-83 GM Cannon II from Mobile Suit Gundam 0083! This is a mid-range support unit based on the Alex's Chobam armor. It's equipped with 2 Beam Cannons, as well as a GM Rifle. 2 Units were stationed aboard the Albion. One notable pilot is Chuck Keith.
