Alive from the waist up & dead from the waist down, the half-blue-half-flesh toned Hel ruled the realm of the dead in Norse mythology. She not only judged the deceased, but led an army of them in a ship made from the fingernails of corpses.

😾 I wonder if it would hurt if I touched you with these long nails.
🕷 I'm a fluffy body, so no matter how many scratches I get I'll be fine💕

I haven't had much success referencing 3D models for poses, but they might be extremely useful for thumbnails and mockups... I always struggle to capture the nuances of a human-focused composition at such a small size.

WATER-ELF DISEASE: Of unknown origins, this caused nails to darken, eyes to water and an urge to look down. One remedy was to make a salve and repeat a 'galdor' (incantation) three times: https://t.co/kvnvWgYNQz (Image: 'Elves', A. Rackham)

(i remember doing these thumbs as a sudden strike of lightning moment, and then boards were fleshed out and perfected by the amazing Danica Dickison, animation by 💓)

Can I have a moment of your time to talk about the beauty of snails?

Messing around in my thumbnails CSP file somehow led to this.

Just did this for fun, there is no follow up.

Comics are hard.

Not so much as an excuse to post this again, but I'm now realizing the pose he's in is like he's going "Check out my nails, they're on point!"
