I think the center piece of what makes many of KyoAni's works amazing is their characters.

From the choice of VA to even the littlest gestures in a single frame, everything is sold because of how these fictional people act & react. Its how the medium can express itself uniquely.

Little Jester sketches based on some gesture drawing from earlier this week! Those were initially 2 minute poses that I re-drew at home. I guess those are... jestures? 👀

More beach outfits! Including a redraw of the beach outfit I drew Luck in from last year. Her stance and gesture was inspired by official artwork of Lagoona Blue, albeit a rather rare image. I’m not exactly sure what the fashion theme/line was for that one.

I got so caught up in doing the gestures for a commission I moved onto basic values and I'm REALLY liking the result

Some more daily gestures. I had a lot of fun with today's drop kick one

I'm not good at drawing hands, so I took my time and painted this to try to improve and capture gesture. The pinky ring always caught my eye.

Me to BestBuy Employee
Me: Where are the styluses?
Him: *guides me to a smart phone*
Me: No, no. A Stylus *makes writing gestures*
Him: *looks at me puzzled* I don’t know what that is
Me: The little pens for smart phones
Him: oh. We don’t carry those

I mostly draw illustrations and fanart with characters doing a lot of gestures, action and funny expressions. Mostly funny cartoons, dynamic poses and sometimes abstract backgrounds.
