@JeberdieZen on top of the colour and shading layers, i made a layer where i covered the outside bits with magenta, then made it more translucent with opacity and blend modes. i went over the edges with a lighter line, which i then added ripples around. then added some glowy + swirly effects!
Lots of painting over in this one. When it's this hot I struggle with the simplest tasks.
I deleted 3 layers of colouring until something decent appeared XD

Okay, I'm attempting to figure out how to do simple puppet animations...
One thing I've learned so far is to A. Use vectors whenever you can for easy resizing
and B. Don't use small drawings, even with vectors, as the transformative mask layers will make certain parts blurry.
