It does catch the eye, despite its simplicity.

Personally, I think that that "blast" or "sting"(?) emblem on his chest should just be a red sting ray, but I've always liked his mask, cape, and color scheme.

Thought about your point a little and wanted to expand on it. I think the simpler the eye design/style, the simpler you need to present it, so ppl ganging up with Anatomical Critique when it isn't warranted need to put on the breaks. Art is about shape, fuck.
