I don't know if anyone else has ever noticed it till now, but it looks like BotW Link is wearing arm sleeves with patterns similar to OoT/TP Ganondorf's sleaves, even down to the colors.

Is there a connection? Probably not. Though still a cool detail I never noticed till now.

It depends on your goals, but be more abstract. Drawings are not characters/objects, they are shapes that represent the way we perceive reality.

Try working in reverse. Maybe start from shapes/colors and search for patterns that resemble characters/objects?

Gaplus (2020). Can't say it's necessarily a step up from Galaxian and Galaga, but the way that it evolved the series' famous power-ups is clever and a lot more player-friendly / less oblique. Movement patterns are still top-notch.
