also it's funny that in the much earlier points of this thread, lining was like, my least favourite thing to do so i had no real confidence in my lines and would default to using a low opacity brush and drawing over things several times to give it a sort of "fuzzy" effect

another long break ->i drew digimon in 2020 and learned that shit with a lot of details and lines is actually much easier to draw and construct for me even if it took forever. also getting closer to drawing digital in a way that looks as "natural" to me as my traditional art does

I think its in the way you draw faces with thin sort of swoopy lines and the dot nose. But especially the hair, or rather the negative space around it+ the long strands of hair. I hope my shitty diagram shows the negative spaces im talkin about okay lol

3. And then finally I tidy up my lines with a fineliner and then use pencil crayons to blend the light and dark patches together. Also I might add white lines using a gel pen to create creases in the material. Hope that helped at least one person 😄
