I really like, once I’ve got an overall wash that feels good, to lock pixels and add new hues to the local color so I don’t lose the texture by painting too thickly over it (but I do that too sometimes if I want that effect)

Also, as I did not have my pens with me that day, I tried a new "ink and wash" approach replacing the ink with staining blue watercolor lines.

Fun fact: I'm so big, it takes a car wash to properly bathe me. During the process, drivers waiting behind me are forced to see my big doggo butt. 😏
