17. Darker pink lines for cheek blush, as well as some skintone near the eyelids for contrast! as well as white dots for highlights.
18. Added more highlights for a glassy eye appearance. (you can lock the lineart layer to airbrush color on it too)

9. Add color to the top shadow, so it blends better with the blue part of the eyeball. (I color in 2 triangles, a darker blue and a lighter blue closer to the eyeball color)

Maybe a gradient overlay? The highlights do a great job in making her visually striking, but possibly making a darker shaded part can do the trick 🤔 I'm no help because I think it already looks fantastic lol

I've actually managed to create something that remotely resembles the manga/anime style I've been going for for YEARS... guess the key is in using think outlines, and proper highlights and shading... I'm actually proud of something for once...

Day 1648: Rose! Another night, another exploratory study. Still figuring out what I like in illustrations. I'm liking working with lower saturations and adding in highlights and more vibrant colors. I still need to figure out a smooth way to go from grayscale to color though!

My nightelf hunter Tinduiell tends to dress in pale colors ranging from lavender to pink with darker highlights, she tends to prefer pretty over functional and is easily distracted.

I usually wing it but I guess I mostly use bright colors that contrast. For lighting I'll draw in where i want my light to head and then see where shadow and highlights will land. Then I'll just use a blending tool to make the shadows look cleaner.
