i thought i might as well post with this tag, if it helps people feel they’re not alone. I was only recently “diagnosed” with ADD, a form of ADHD without
the hyperactivity. I’ve always struggled with ADD; it’s my normal.
Drawing has always been there for me.

making myself do art can be impossible at times, to the point of dropping it for months often, but when i gotta draw i gotta draw. It’s taken me longer to improve than it would if i didnt have adhd but im so impressed with myself for improving at all

Having ADHD isnt ideal when you love to draw, it usually takes hours or several days to do anything because i just dont want to sit down, i'd rather be pacing around.
However when i've finally finished something - i'm happy.
