Slowly getting my art groove back. 👁️👄👁️ I went and made the doodle I drew of gijinka!Sapphire into a fully-rendered piece~ I did a bit of experimenting with the shading here and added some subtle shadows and tried to include bolder shadows too along with highlights. uwu

Ahhh I loved how this came out? also used this drawing as an experiment to using like different colors as highlights. Yellow, pink, and blue go together rly well and I love that!

Don’t worry, I used to abuse circles too while drawing characters. And I also used to use black for shadows and white for highlights. Which as you can imagine didn’t turn out looking so nice.

I would like to thanks for posting the guideline for drawing curly hair shadows and highlights. I just turned 28 last month so I thought I challenge myself by adding more detail to my art.

Starting in 1984, Epyx's "Summer Games" kicked off a successful run of olympiad-style competitive games for the The series continued yearly until 1988, with Winter and World Games being highlights.

The original is the most nostalgic for me though, which is your favorite?

Alright, so I'm not the best at explaining things, but the most important part of lighting are your shadows and highlights. That's how you define shapes. Unless you're going for horror, you want to keep your primary (key) light at least 45 degrees away from camera...

After I'm happy with the sketch I start doing inks over it. I use Clip Studio so my main tool is the Real G-Pen, I decide where I'll use solid blacks and where I'll use hatching. Then I use screentones for the lighter shadows and finish up with white highlights.

Stone Ocean has probably some of the best fight choreography in JoJo. I wanted to make a thread of some of my personal highlights.

Some more WIP! This is probably my completed colouring of Elo, with and without highlights.

When I started doing art I ALWAYS just shadowed and never did any highlights. You won't know how much life it adds until you actually start doing it!

Green is great because it can be either a warm or cool color. I always start with a warm base and shift down into cyan and blue for shading and up into lime and yellow for highlights. Heres some palettes ive made theres a couple green ones:

Just finished a twitch stream with where I was showing her how I do textures, shading, and highlights. We used the baby lineart I put up for download recently. It was very enjoyable! I look forward to doing it again. Here's our twitch baby! XD
