Kharri was born to a saiyan father, and an Earthling mother, on Earth. This would lead to a distant relationship with her father, one that wouldn't reconcile until both had come to turns with themselves.

The Fairy Godparent, usually a godmother, is a well known kind of fae in famous fairy tales like Cinderella who use their powers to help. They often are literally the godparent of a human, though some are kind hearted fairies moved by the plight of a human.
Cinderella was adapted by Charles Perrault in 1697, under the name Cendrillon. He added features to the story: a pumpkin, a Fairy Godmother, and glass slippers.
His Fairy Tales book published in 1912 featured the beautiful works of Edmund Dulac.
