You're right. That was a version from the year 2099 that was exclusive to the game (the comics eventually introduced Doc Ock 2099, but as a fish man). There's also Carolyn Trainer, who went by Doctor Octopus when Otto died, but he got better, so she started going by Lady Octopus.
