Awesome colours on that version of Seawitch!
Most people know it from the Wolfmother album cover version.

This was tough. My first thought was Dali for his calculated madness, then Escher for his fundamentals, then Frazetta for his mastery...considering all qualities simultaneously lead me to Jean Giraud, a.k.a. Moebius, a.k.a. Gir. https://t.co/4aEcg7mEoM
This artwork is the revised version of “Mongol Tyrant.” Frazetta’s wife, Ellie found the first version “too demonic” to hang on the walls of their home. To please Ellie and not scare his children, he repainted the figure to be a bit less sinister.

Three stages of a Frazetta painting. Originally, the cover to a 1970 paperback book (with the man in the foreground), Frazetta eliminated the man, then added one of his famous women. He did this with many of his old paintings, for better or worse!
Frank Frazetta being heroic.
Well his artwork is.
To adventure!
