i spent my day off yesterday playing around with nibs and screentone. scraping away screentone is so satisfying.....it's impractical for me to to do a whole comic like this but i like how physical screentone looks and feels compared to digital

yeah! for the background, ill use a variety of patterns, usually lines or dots or whatever would work best, and for the whole image, ill overlay a screentone at low opacity and sometimes use a sort of blurring brush to help with depth (images show before/after processing)
