oh this is really fujcking old but yeah i was never satisfied with how my lines and coloring looked TOGETHER bc it always ended up looking super stiff :[ comparing it to now i think loosening up rly helped me in the long run
vent art... didn't really have the motivation to make it less sketchy and less stiff..
time is precious. not everyone has time on their hands, so if i give you mine, i hope at least you appreciate it :<

I find the most fun doing such "abstract" thumbnails and/or sketches to get the flow going. However, there's a huge drawback - it's really hard to get line art or clean the sketch afterwards in a way that won't make a picture look stiff
