If i have a tip for my style of rendering is that the stringy lines in my shading aren't drawn in, they are erased in, as in a draw the shape of the shadows first and then erase from the direction of the lightsource kinda creating a blending effect.
I looked at my past Penny and wondered how much have my work has changed since then. I also did my best to not do any blending and just cell shading.

My go-to shading technique starts with flat cel shading, before getting the digital airbrush out and blending it all over with smooth gradients :)

The planet with the glass feel was me playing with opacity
I use glow blending mode to make them luminescent
Don’t remember if I mentioned this, but I really like Strombonin but it does have some issues, like the layering issue with the hand, the mouth not being centered with the head, and Strombone’s eyestalks sprites not blending well with the body.
