Today's #TwitchGlobal origin is MrDestructoid! MrDestructoid is the mascot for game review site Destructoid! Whilst past uses for the emote have been to poke fun at viewbotting and suspected viewbotters, it is now commonly used while the streamer is having technical issues.
Thread: Botticelli (c1445-1510) was one of the great masters of the Early Renaissance. His paintings have been treasured for their serene beauty, their lyrical lines & distilled composition. Let’s take a look at his work. I find his approach inspiring!

April 18, 1504: Early Italian Renaissance painter Filippino Lippi dies.
Lippi was the son of famous painter Fra Filippo Lippi, and his style was most certainly influenced by the works of Sandro Botticelli.

Tonight's movie was John Carpenter's THE THING. I never tire of studying the craftsmanship in this movie from Carpenter, Cundey, Bottin and the cast. It feels so modern it could have been made last week. No CGI has ever come close to the make-up fx wizardry here. A perfect film.
