Tea and Turkeys ▫️Day 075▫️ This morning some turkeys visited our yard and I got to look at them up close with binoculars. They are so colorful, it’s hard to capture the iridescence of their feathers.

Sometimes it's fun to dig up old art. I've got a lot of problems with this piece (those wonky wings...) but I also have fond memories of getting lost for hours inking all the little face feathers.

I really had fun with this one. I like the texture I was able to get from both the tree and the feathers. The pattern on his chest was trickier than expected, but with a bit of tweaking I was able to finally figure it out.

Have you ever tried finding good feather textures online? Finding good feather textures to use is like finding a needle in a hay stack! So I created a feather alpha generator and generated 100 feather alpha of high quality and of all the types of feathers. https://t.co/KXt8D11xLn

Ah! I've seen it, but in the exact same sources you post. I would like to know where it came from as well, since I ended up using it for one of my characters unknowingly hahaha
Perhaps it is a regional quauhololli variation (hence the ball), though I interpreted it as feathers.

Here's an epic prehistoric chicken aka Reshiram for the challenge! That's a lot of fluff and feathers.

First piece for the year is here!!!! For a moment there, I almost dropped this thanks in no small part to those fucking feathers.

Oh and guess the lucky person who had to google burn scars for references! It was totally not a nightmare!

hairy deathclaw hc; engineered from avian & reptilian dna, it's 'fur' is actually feathers. built for speed, smaller, smarter, its legs are long & powerful, & its tail keeps it balanced while sprinting. w/ lethal sickle-claws on its feet, its behavior is very birdlike.
