Good question. US Gold created UK Gold to sell UK games in the US (rather than their usual model of US games sold in Britain). Dropzone was released under this label. Oddly it seems to be the only UK Gold release. So I assume the idea didn't work out.

Today is 8/29/2022 in Japan time, marking the 20th anniversary of Ever17's original release.
It may not be as popular as it once was, but for me it remains one of my favorite VNs of all time, and the game that quite literally changed my life by leading me to work in localization.
