i got the modular gradients down to 5 tiles, plus a few weird special cases. you could definitely go smoother if you added more special cases, also if you went organic and abandoned the snapped gradients, but i think this is a nice economical look.

my process was a little more different than usual? i used a step inbetween to force a blur to see if it would smoothen things out before i started to render and imo it actually helped me (be lazier)
