Bananas strengthen the core of who we are, encouraging us to peel back our shields and expose our true selves. Banana plants, which are not technically trees, grow thick and extensive root mats with underground stems.
ALSO the Zelda from the carvings looks an AWFUL LOT like the Zelda iteration from Ocarina of Time. This makes sense, as modeling her after any other Zelda but BotW and OoT would give direct indication of specifically which timelines BotW stems most diretly from.
