After a long search for references on Pinterest and shooting some of myself, I start working on polishing the shapes in Photoshop looking for balance in the values and use of textures. I always remind myself to go from big general strokes and shapes and then the details.

my favorite thing when shading faces is adding a red stroke under and above the eyelids, and on the lips. idk it just made the character looks yassified
