With the highlights and overlays honestly you can't come after me telling me how to do colors and what not because it doesn't meet your needs, I'm happy with how it came out and that's the important to me as an artist but I can't please everyone without me being happy

fun fact: I started omitting pupils and specular highlights in the eyes of my characters in order to evoke the ligne claire illustration style. I keep doing it because it makes it far less obvious if the characters get crosseyed or walleyed

Vibrant art and some tips:
- Dont immediately start with details. Focus on the values first
- Personally I prefer to do shades and highlights at the same time, but people usually save highlights for last
- Gesture drawing is important. It is what makes the artwork flow
