Okay, I think I have nailed down a final style for comic workflow. I might do more illustrations in this manner, but with slightly more rendering. It saves me time and lets me create more content. Finally got my lines to a quality where I can do a hard inks and flats comic.

For aspiring here's my flats/render for page one of Prequel. I'm still learning, but here you will be able to see an example of how it should look under the inks. Make sure that your flat color bump up against each other to avoid holes.
