Caught up with the latest Inside No.9’s. Very much enjoyed the relentless & intricate high energy clowning of ‘Wuthering Heist’ (had to watch it twice), and the crafty fan fiction power play nightmare of ‘Simon Says’ (mesmerised by Pemberton’s wig). Typically good stuff..!
But Zenith's current design feels so much more unique! Rather than a typical anime style, this feels more like a full illustrated painting, which really grabs your attention when you see it. Never underestimate the power a different art style can bring to a good design! (3/3)

I don't know how I fell down the rabbit hole but I think Lin Fei's outfit is based on the Ququn/Quju (曲裙/曲裾) style of hanfu. I don't know if it's period accurate (ignoring the pants) but they were wise not to go for a typical Song look with the long coat and all!
