It was hard to find two pictures from each year that were comparable in coloring style that didn't look basically like there was no improvement at all. My digital coloring style hasn't changed much in a decade.

Honestly I'm not trying to diss on Kuromi but in official artwork Melody seems to be way more attached to Sweet Piano, never seen why people think that way when Kuromi sees Melody as a rival meanwhile Melody and Sweet Piano are pretty much inseparable.
