I ended up changing the style when i started the sketch compared to the final lineart and somehow his ear became bigger. The hands were already defined in the sketch compared to the facial features.

The jaw line is spot on, the eye near the ear is the same besides the eyeball/we the nose and mouth are almost the same position. It shouldn't be this close if its not a trace

only progress i was able to make was with the face,,, thought i'd tone the shine on his face down a bit; fix the shading on his ear,,,, aaand then from there we'll have to see where it goes next
