Onyia Scarlette having a physical body can't use this ability on anyone except herself. This takes much less mana and puts less strain on the victim's body. Though in order to conserve energy she split the ability into phases so she doesn't have to use the full thing.

Oni can use an ability called Demon Possession to forcefully overtake a body with their mana. Like a glove controlling a hand. They increase the victim's power and use it as their own. It's only a last ditch technique as it take an incredible amount of mana to do so.
