Only reason I can ever, ever see anyone preferring Archie's reboot era to its pre-reboot era is because they think it being more like the games is a good thing by itself, because when actually looking at its substance, it lacks any by comparison, much like IDW imo.

I don't know if this is a hot take, but I always prefer more blocky, chunky mecha designs to more streamlined ones.

I can't articulate it in words properly, but I like how RX 78 looks in comparison to GN-0000 for example. I also like Unicorn more than Barbatos
