Whisper is a soldier and has PTSD while severing and Jewel is the curator of a museum. And it says they are 16?! Amy Rose drives a car and lives independently, so are sonic characters ages like in dog years or something? I don’t understand how this works

This can be very tricky, cause there isn’t really an official age chart or their age is different in other series. Obviously you shouldn’t do fat art of tails and cream. Rouge, Wave, Bunnie, Vanilla and Vector are older characters.
