8) More of a design fact, but his looks were the result of a failed attempt at making my DnD character Lucian. The face shapes were all too masculine for him, so I ended up choosing aspects that were completely opposite of what I'd normally go for. Didn't expect him to stick
@bookclubmembers Like Harrow County, one of the main themes of the Mucus Man story was monsters that seem scary at first might actually be harmless. Going all the way back to Frankenstein, the idea of a sympathetic monster is something I’m always a mark for.

Imo there’s no point in trying to debate who draws better, these are both really talented mangakas with different art styles. There’s no absolute answer to ‘who did it better’ bc art is subjective. Don’t try to pit artists against each other when there’s nothing to pit them for.
