Oil paintings I’ve done this semester. I was trying to do the grisaille method for the black and white painting but obviously I didn’t get enough time to finish during the semester.

And the speedpaint, I was trying out a new brush coloring method that’s pretty neat ig! Might play with it more 🤔
In my classes we use coloured LEDs positioned at an angle to show the subjects planes clearer.
You can achieve a lot of variation with even two warm and two cold coloured pastels with this method, starting high saturation and muting it with the white chalk and charcoal
ok, i am really happy with this style ive been trying lately.. a bit noodle-y, a bit angular, it feels good i love the rough aspects of it since my art, i have always been very methodical and clean with it i feel this one is more me

and honestly just getting better and more efficient at mockups has been huge all on its own
i'm a visual thinker who is a writer that can't draw for shit so building methods and tools to get around that lack of skill and help myself out makes writing itself much easier
Lately I’ve been rushing through my art and trynna fully render it in 8 hrs, so this was my attempt at 50% rendering (meaning I only did 1/2 my usual coloring method). Of course, had to attempt this with my favorite duo #imthegrimreaper #CLIPSTUDIOPAINT
My usual Inking method wasn't working all that great, so I ended up not outlining with Vectors. Which meant I could use a lot more short strokes.
I like the way it looks, but it takes so much more time, and is gonna make the coloring process take a lot longer. 🤦♂️
