Behind the scenes process of testing procedural islands. The first frame is coast tapering using only distance to map edge. Gives you that terrible circle shape. Then I use an ease-in-out function to reduce the severity.

way back in 2016(? i think?) i listened to the okami soundtrack while sick, felt nostalgic, and banged out a human amaterasu design. i've always wanted to revisit it and polish it up, especially since i drew this all in between feverish naps, lol
