This set highlights a bit of a problem I'm having.
My original submission included 4 variations. In each, the runner has a different skintone and/or haircut.
These were both rejected for being too similar to the other two.
#interpvscanon the way I draw the ice couple is so different. As cute as counterpart couples can be, I wanted to separate them design wise.
I draw Nana with brown hair, with some blond highlights.
Popo is darker skinned with darker hair.

Reworked this 2013 design in procreate 💚🍓 This is actually the first color dotwork piece I ever created. Crazy how much of a difference a little black and some highlights can do. Prints, stickers, and pins of this guy will be available in April!
@raverpuppy When shading keep in mind where your light source is. Additionally, try adding some highlights as well as shade, especially where your have alot of texture like the tail and hair.

@Zaezardraws @realhartman I was experimenting a lot on that one! But basically I drew teh character and flat colored it, then, in a multiply layer I used a dessaturated blue to make it darker. After that I started painting the highlights and places where light would be stronger!
Getting closer! Still have to do boots, a couple buckles, the ink tank, and finishing up these shadows and highlights, but the bow is done!!!
I noticed the hair highlights part is a little bit wrong, so I made another version or fixed version of it
